Abbeville High School student-athlete Malcolm Leach has signed a letter of intent in track with USC-Upstate.
Malcolm has been a member of the track team for four years, and he has been captain two years of the team. During his time with the Panthers, he has been named All State and All Region.
He has long had an interest in USC-Upstate. "My older brother went there and my aunt and uncle, and I was always interested in the school," he said. "They have a big track program."
Malcolm is also student body president. "I want to pursue a career in graphic design and marketing," he said.
He would like also to try out for the Olympics in track.
Leach was one of three Abbeville High School student athletes who had signing ceremonies Thursday at the AHS auditorium.
Bailee New is signing a letter of intent in softball with Spartanburg Methodist, and Sarah Beth Ferguson is signing a letter of intent in softball with USC-Union.
